Employees don't appreciate the value of the total reward package
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Reward Risk Survey
According to the latest Reward Risk Survey, conducted by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the top concern for employers for the second year running is that "employees don't appreciate the value of the total reward offering". "Reward not engaging employees" has also become more of an issue for employers, moving from seventh place last year to second place this year, whilst attraction and retention of key employees is no longer high on the agenda.
With this in mind, employers need to look at what they can do address these concern. Those that ignore the issue will no doubt start to experience recruitment and retention issues again. One way would be to introduce total reward statements, in order to communicate and increase awareness of the total reward offering. Employers should also look at whether their reward strategy is engaging their people effectively.
