New laws will see rogue employers named and shamed

According to new laws brought in by the Government today, any employer found to be paying employees below the national minimum wage will be named and shamed. 

From 1 October 2013, the minimum wage is £6.31 an hour (up 12p) for adults, and £5.03 an hour (up five pence) for 18 to 20-year-olds.

The minimum wage for 16 and 17-year-olds is £3.72  per hour (up four pence), while the apprentice rate is £2.68 (up three pence).
