SERVICE OVERVIEW

Paydata conducts a specialist Facilities Management Salary Survey that supports construction and business services companies that provide outsourced facilities/asset management. This provides facilities management companies with valuable, accurate and specific external market information to inform reward decisions, much of which is not available anywhere else.

The facilities manager salary survey covers information regarding base pay and total cash, including hours and main benefits. The detailed report output is personalised, highlighting the company's market position for each survey role both nationally and by geographic region.

This survey includes roles in the following areas:

  • General Management – such as an Operations Director or Manager who is responsible for driving through short to medium-term delivery improvements and securing new opportunities with existing customers
  • Cleaning – such as a Regional or Site Cleaning Manager that manages and controls a number of contracts, as well as being responsible for the management of a team of staff and budget
  • Facilities – such as a Facilities Manager that is responsible for the implementation of solutions and for the successful commission management
  • Grounds Maintenance – such as a Grounds Maintenance Working Supervisor who supervises employees engaged in grounds maintenance and horticultural activities and is responsible for the inspection of equipment and supplies, as well as dealing with customer complaints
  • Operations – such as a Contracts or Operations Manager responsible for providing operational and technical support
  • Parking – such as a Regional or Site Car Park Manager that is responsible for the budget and management of either a single or multiple car parks, ensuring both the quality and safety of all those who use it
  • Portering – such as a Portering Site Manager or Supervisor who may oversee the planning and delivery of a site portering contract, as well as being responsible for the budget, health and safety, customer relations and assigning duties to a member of a team. I will be in the supervisor’s remit to inspect equipment and supplies as well as dealing with customer complaints
  • Bid Management – such as a Mobilisation/Transition Manager, Bid Manager or Bid Director responsible for the coordination of all aspect of medium-large bids or significant parts of major bids
  • Security – such as a Security Guard, Supervisor or Site Security Manager who are engaged in security activity and manage and control the site security contract
  • Business Development – such as a Business Development Manager or Director who is responsible for identifying new business opportunities with new clients, as well as the creation of strategy
  • Support Functions – such as a Quantity Surveyor, Building Surveyor, Energy Manager or Space Planner that are responsible for ensuring the facility is being run as efficiently as possible through negotiations with suppliers as well playing a key role in the planning and implementation of projects
  • Catering – such as a Regional/Site Catering Manager or chef/cook that is responsible for the preparation and cooking at a site or managing either one or multiple catering establishments
  • Helpdesk – such as Helpdesk Advisor or Team Leader who uses technical knowledge to advise clients and/or resolves problems with a range of services, as well as supervising employees engages in telephone activity, ensuring that operations run as they should be
  • Building – such as a Building Manager or Engineer whose responsibility is to understand the building specifications to instruct suppliers to carry out works, delivering a service to a set budget and provides day-to-day management to an immediate team
