Target Industry Construction

The next Construction HR Workshop is taking place on Tuesday, 18 September 2018

Paydata’s Construction Workshop offers an easy way to network and exchange views with other HR professionals in the sector, who often face common issues.

Each workshop begins with an initial overview of reward trends and what is happening in the market, followed by an open forum discussion. Group members drive the content of the workshop and what is discussed. This offers participants a fantastic opportunity to address topics and queries which are high on their priority list.

Is this workshop right for you?

In order to contribute to discussions and find the workshop useful, this group is most suited to reasonably senior HR/Reward professionals who have an awareness of the HR arena, their company policies and current HR challenges they might be facing.

Topics discussed at the last meeting:

  • The effect of the new Gender Pay Gap reporting legislation
  • The effect of Equal Pay
  • How are organisations  responding / preparing for the increase in NLW to £9 by 2020
  • Auto enrolment increases for 2018
  • Voluntary attrition rate on retention schemes.
  • Are companies reducing their pay budget to take account of the step up in minimum pension contributions?
  • Are companies removing the ability for members to pay contributions below the new minimum contribution rates?  I.e. can the member opt out of AE but pay into a pension scheme at a reduced rate or is it the AE qualifying scheme or nothing?
  • What scarce skills and are other companies seeing an increase in the salaries they need to offer to commercial staff over and above the mkt data?
  • How do you measure absenteeism?

Confidentiality

Where attendees are in competition with each other it is very important that the workshop meets certain rules. Provisions are therefore in place to ensure each session is conducted in an appropriate manner.
