PAYstats Pay and Labour Market Statistics, June 2022

Latest pay and labour market statistics June 2022:

• The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose by 7.9% in the 12 months to May 2022, up from 7.8% in April.
• The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) rose by 9.1% in the 12 months to May 2022, up from 9.0% in April.
• The UK employment rate increased by 0.2 percentage points on the quarter to 75.6%.
• The unemployment rate for February to April 2022 decreased by 0.2 percentage points on the quarter to 3.8%.
• The number of job vacancies in March to May 2022 rose to a new record of 1,300,000.
• Growth in employees' average total pay (including bonuses) was 6.8% and growth in regular pay (excluding bonuses) was 4.2% in February to April 2022.
