The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month rate was 3.0 per cent in January 2018, unchanged from December 2017.
The employment rate (the proportion of people aged from 16 to 64 who were in work) was 75.2 per cent, higher than for a year earlier (74.6 per cent); and,
Total average earnings year on year increased by 2.6 per cent including bonuses and by 2.8 per cent excluding bonuses, in December 2017.
