We captured the views of your fellow HR and Reward professionals at a time that is politically turbulent after an unexpected general election and as the UK enters its Brexit negotiations.

The UK Reward Management Survey continues to go from strength to strength, representing around half a million employees in the UK.

We are in our eighth year of running our reward surveys, designed to provide you with the information you need to take an informed view about what is happening in UK reward management. We have noticed since the 2008 recession that there has been a general lack of confidence amongst business and consumers in long-term planning.

Previous editions have tracked delayed investment decisions and cautious pay rewards. Ensuring reward arrangements support recruitment, retention and motivation, whilst continuing to work within the constraints of cautiously tight budgets, remains the status quo. Meeting the immediate needs of the organisation is the priority.

The spring 2017 edition had a record response of over 170 organisations taking part across a range of industries and sectors, employing around half a million people in total.
