Latest pay and labour market statistics July 2018:
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month rate was 2.4 per cent in June 2018, unchanged from May 2018,
The employment rate (the proportion of people aged from 16 to 64 years who were in work) was 75.7 per cent, higher than for a year earlier (74.9 per cent) and the highest since comparable records began in 1971; and,
Total average earnings increased by 2.5 per cent including bonuses and increased by 2.6 per cent excluding bonuses in the 12 months up to May 2018.
